Get ready to SPRING onto the Ice!
CANSKATE & PRE-CANSKATE
CANSKATE
CANSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. This program focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. GRANDVIEW SKATING CLUB offers expert coaching and a high ratio of program assistants to skaters. Skaters will learn fundamental skating skills such as balance, control and agility that pertain to hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating.
PRE-CANSKATE
45-minute non-parented class for children ages 3-6 who have not had any significant time on skates. It is designed to introduce children to the ice and help them become comfortable. This program teaches children the basics of how to get up when they fall down, how to move forward, basic backward movement and an introduction to stopping. Music, toys, and games are used to help children feel ready to take the next step. NOTE: All lessons are done in a group format, so children must be somewhat independent and not require one-on-one supervision for the entirety of the class. Children must be toilet-trained.

4:00pm to 4:45pm – Sunset Arena
Sundays – April 14 to June 23

Entry to this program is by invitation only through the CANSkate program or scheduled assessments. Please email gsc.coachdirector@gmail.com if you are interested. STAR 2 TO GOLD
We look forward to a fun spring session with our STARSkaters. Skate Canada recommends STAR Skaters skate at least twice a week and include off-ice training. Thus, we have developed special Junior and Senior Packages to help our STARSkaters progress despite the reduced ice time for the Spring session.
We know the morning sessions are hard for some families, but trust us, it will make a difference! And, some skaters actually like the morning sessions better as it means they can do more after-school activities with friends and family. You’ll grow to love ’em! ⏰
