Program Description:
The Skate Canada’s PowerSkate program is for those who are aspiring to be or currently playing hockey or ringette and wish to improve the quality of their skating. Taught by Skate Canada certified PowerSkate instructors, our experienced Grandview coaches will facilitate the program to build on balance, control and agility which are foundational hockey skills.
Before you register, please note:
- Skaters registering in U10 must be able to skate forwards and backwards with speed and complete a full hockey stop.
- Skaters under the age of 10 who are interested in registering for O10 MUST receive an invitation and/or assessment from our PowerSkate coaches prior to registering.
- Videos for assessments (max 1 minute) can be submitted at any time and must include footwork for the coaches to determine program eligibility. Submit to grandviewsk8ingclub@gmail.com.
- Full Hockey gear is a requirement, sticks will be used but NO passing or hitting pucks are allowed
- The facility and the club do not provide equipment for rental, skaters must bring their own.
- Skaters must bring their own labeled water bottle.
